Blind cave fish or
Anoptichthys jordani occurs in caves in some of the southern states and also in the san luis potosi district of Mexico. As the fish lives in complete darkness it has never needed to develop protective coloring, and is not in the least hindered by the lack of eyes. Growing to a length of about three inches it should not be put in with smaller fishes, but in a tank with other fishes of comparable size. It also a good scavenger fish.
