Natural thing for the beginner, is to start with some fish that easy to take care of, for example : Guppy, Mollies or Platies.
Do not try to buy cut price fishes. Certain stores offer such interesting bargains, but usually they are not bargains in the long run. Such cheap fish were imported and not breed on tanks. That means we gonna needs all the fancy equipment and time for the endless care of the professional importer, they are not likely to do well in our water tanks.
