Trigonostigma Heteromorpha known as Red Rasbora or Harlequin Rasbora is a small, beautiful and elegant looking fish. In it's ideal conditions, Red Rasboraa colour will be deep maroon pink and their black marking will be more dark and appear smooths.Harlequin Rasbora are a true freshwater fish, and are never ever seen in brackish waters. This Red Rasbora could be found throughout the lowland waters of Southeastern Asia, where the water is quite soft and acidic. Harlequins usually prefer an environment with areas of dense vegetation, an open area for swimming, a dark substrate, and subdued lighting.
Water temperature is not critical, but the ideal ranges is 74 to 78 F (23 -26 C). The pH of the water should be slightly acidic, in the range of 6.0 to 6.5. They are most comfortable in a school community, and should be kept in groups of at least three or more. Rasboras are excellent community fish, and will not nip at, or quarrel with any other species.
