MYRIOPHYLLUM

Myriophyllum is finer in its strands than Cabomba. When it is found wild it floats near the surface of the water, but it is common practice in the aquarium to fasten it to the bottom of the watertanks. If it is left floating near the top, however, it serves as an excellent refuge for baby fishes, for the larger fishes can only proceed through its tangle slowly.
